Purple Palms Airport budget Lodge, a self catering establishment set in a tranquil suburb of Johanesburg,where your airport pick up is arranged door to door and where you can lay back and relax after that long flight. We cater for the start and end to your holiday and are primarilly an Airport gate way lodge for all types, travellers and locals.. Our place is spotlessly clean and well equiped and resembles more a 3 star hotel rather than a budget backpackers.
Enjoy our en-suite private rooms, or sit outside in our lush garden, read a book or chill by the bar lapa and splash pool. We have an communual TV and DVD player SAT TV and a fully equiped kitchen. There is FREE internet in our recreational room.

Shops are only a 200 meters away and a mall 1km. We drop off at a larger mall for free when airport transfers allow this.
We offer transport to and from places of interest.
The area is safe for walk abouts.

FREE transport to Pretoria to enjoy our tried and tested North South Backpackers, were you can have a great time in all the clubs and pubs in Hatfield which is situated in the university campus area.
Remember, there are no buses around JHB and transport is unreliable and can be expensive….
AIRPORT TRANSFERS …Drop off’s take place from 06:00 to 20:00 daily. If you have a flight outside these times, we are flexable.

DRIVING
From Pretoria, the North & North West.
Take the N1 national highway, when you see the sign for the R21 marked Johannesburg International airport, turn onto this and drive about 30 kilometres. There is an Engen petrol garage, take the off ramp after this. At the stop street turn left, this is the R25. At the traffic ligts turn left. This is the Old Pretoria Road. At the first set of traffic lights turn right, this is Modderfontein road. You will go under a railway bridge. Follow this road for around 7km, at the McDonalds turn right. At the second stop street turn left onto Maraboe road, you will pass the Mickey Mouse school, and some shops, and a park. About 50m after the park on the right is a large purple wall, that is us, the entrance is on the turning to the right.
From Johannesburg International and everywhere else.
When you come out of the airport you will be on the R21, follow direction Kempton Park, take the first off ramp, signposted Kempton Park / voortrekker road. Follow this road around staying in the lanes marked Voortrekker road. When you come to a T-junction turn right. This is Pretoria road. At the 6th set of traffic lights turn left, this is Elgin Road. At the 2nd set of lights on Elgin, turn right, this is Mooiriver Drive. You will come to a set of traffic lights ( there is a McDonalds there), go straight over. At the second stop street turn left onto Maraboe road, you will pass the Mickey Mouse school, and some shops, and a park.
