Designed for the independent traveller, BAZ BUS is a fantastic way to explore South Africa. The Baz Bus offers independent travellers and backpackers the opportunity to explore the most beautiful towns and cities in South Africa.
All you need is one ticket to your final destination and you can hop on and off as often as you like along the route. We drop you off and pick you up from your backpacking hostel or lodge!

This ticket is valid for Johannesburg to Durban
(via Swaziland and N. Drakensburg) – Johannesburg.
You can “Hop-on, Hop-off” wherever and as many times as they like, with no time limit.
The compulsory stops along the way are Durban, Swaziland and Johannesburg.

Swaziland – Jo’burg/Pretoria : Tues, Thurs, Sat.
Jo’burg/Pretoria – Durban (via N. Drakensburg) : Wed, Fri, Sun.
Jo’burg/Pretoria – Swaziland : Mon, Wed, Sat.
Swaziland – Durban : Tues, Thurs, Sun.
You are free to stop off anywhere along the way, and stay as long as you like.
Buses depart almost every day, so should you feel like a change of scenery you won’t have to wait around to move on – the bus will arrange pick up from your hostel and your hostel will be able to inform you of the times of pick-up.
Please phone at least 24 hrs in advance to confirm your intended date of travel for each segment of your trip.
